"How… what is the permanent damage likely to be?" I frowned, though I'm sure she couldn't see it with the bandages covering my face. "Kynareth has truly blessed us with your coming then." The woman smiled, "I am sure it was her grace that returned you safely to this temple, with injuries that severe most men would have surely died." Like he said, I'm a seer, I've known for a long time." I absorbed the soul of Mirmulnir, and yes, I know that means I'm Dragonborn. "Is it true what they've been saying in town… that you were a-" "The soldier who brought you in told me." She said at last, before taking on a hushed tone. "It was a miracle aye…" shaking my head clear of idle thoughts. It's honestly a miracle that you survived to reach the temple, the state that you were in."Īs I took the proffered pitcher from her and greedily drank it down, I sighed in relief, the cool water pouring joyfully down my throat.

"I hadn't expected you to recover for, well, days at least. "Ah, one moment, I have some water here." The woman grabbed a pitcher from a small table I hadn't seen. "Yes." I bit out through my dry vocal chords. I must not have been as quiet shifting around as I thought. Instead, I decided that it was probably a better idea to just get back into the bed and-Īnd there was Danica, and dressed in even thinner nightclothes. It wouldn't do to reopen my injuries, not any more than sitting up already would have. That or Danica had already done a far better job than I had expected her to.įor a moment, I considered attempting to stagger to my feet and find some water for my parched throat, but a moment's hesitation saw me think better of that.
Skyrim temple of kynareth skin#
I… under dragon fire I doubted there was any part of me that was, but I was still glad for their intact nature.įrom the lack of overwhelming pain as I moved to my feet, and the feel of the bandages on what parts of my skin still had nerve endings, they must have been prepared with some sort of healing or regenerative draught. On the other hand, the gauntlet was off, which was good, and I realized after a moment that I was nude, save for the bandages that covered much of my body.Ī short check later revealed that some luck had largely preserved my genitals, though even they were not completely unscathed. Less scab and more scar were the disgusting mottled lines that marked my pale red flesh. Between the bandages It was burnt still, though it looked now like more of an old burn. A dull ache at rest, and a sharp tearing pain as I raised my hand before my face. I also still hurt, not as greatly as before, but hurt nonetheless. When I woke up again, it was night, the stained glass panes of the temple dim, and the central chamber lit only with the flickering of candles. Still, the soothing touch of her restoration magic as she placed her hands on my chest was a better companion than the pain as I passed into sleep. I was struggling to stay concious, absent my battle fury, so I couldn't make out exactly what was said between her and the soldier. It was clear that the healing of the potions, and indeed my own magic, was mostly just trying to keep me together and functional, and that the damage was severe enough that it would take a far more powerful hand than mine to restore in full.įortunately, however she was dressed, the High Priestess of Kynareth in Skyrim was one of its greatest healers, and she was at the bedside in moments. They could wait though, for now I just wanted to not become the corpse that I looked like.įortunately, the Temple of Kynareth wasn't exactly cramped, and with the aid of the man, I think his name was Norfin, but I was mostly delirious when he mentioned it, I was able to slump down onto one of the hard stone beds. A summons clearly, and one intended for me. "Dov Ah Kiin" the words rolled across the afternoon sky like a wave on the ocean, and I felt them in my head as much as I heard them. We were just coming through the gates when the old men on the mountain finally decided to make their move. My own novice abilities barely enough to keep me intact through the rough ride back into Whiterun. My own efforts were mostly focused on staying awake and using what Magicka I had left for restoration. I wasn't exactly in much of a position to fight it. I didn't even have time to stay for the whole "Dragonborn" discussion, since Irileth pretty much immediately ordered one of the men to take me to the Temple of Kynareth on horseback at once. The trip back to Whiterun had been a painful thing.
